    SHARJAH - Under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, SLC Volleyball Team and SLC Basketball team are preparing to go to Iran for a boot camp which will allow both teams to enhance their performances, a press release said.

    After some streaky play in the first three games Monday, the New Hartford girls volleyball team served its way to separation from Sauquoit Valley in Game 4. The Spartans’ 25-17 victories in Games 3 and 4 were the largest point difference in a 3-1 win, and gave New Hartford breathing room after nip-and-tuck action in the first two games.

    The Grimes Recreation Department is offering an adult volleyball night at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at North Ridge Elementary School, 400 N.W. 27th St. Players can just show up and be placed on a team to play on one of two courts.
