UTA-Hosts to have welcome back mixer on Thursday (The Shorthorn)

UTA-Hosts is giving a welcome back mixer Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Bowling and Billiards in the University Center. The mixer is for UTA mentors, mentees and upperclassman who are considering to become mentors and for first semester students who are interested in becoming mentees.

Waitress killed in pool hall shooting on Winchester (Memphis Commercial Appeal)

Sometime around 1:30 a.m. Monday, two people burst into the Billiards La Loma pool hall in Southeast Memphis. They demanded money, and at least one of the suspects fired a gun. A 28-year-old waitress was killed. Police are investigating, but had no suspects in custody late Monday.
